In the year 1986, Karunya Institute of Technology and Sciences was founded with the aim to raise professionalism and excellent academic knowledge in the students with the help of world-class higher education. This institute was granted Autonomous status in the year 1999 and later, it got its Deemed-to-be University status from UGC. Some prime facilities and amenities present here are: Library: KIT’s has a Central Library which provides material for excellent academic research. The library is massive and all the modern resources and facilities are provided here. The library has a collection of books, journals, e-books, e-journals, online data, book banks, magazines, and other materials. The library is designed in a way that creates a calm and comfortable environment for the students. Laboratories: The institute has a nationally acclaimed, fully equipped, and modern lab facility which enhances the on-field performance of the students as well as gives them practical knowledge of their fields. The institute has a Food Processing lab and a Nanotechnology lab. Hostel: KIT’s has accommodation facilities and arrangements for students. The institute has separate hostel campuses for male and female students. The hostel rooms are fully furnished, well-equipped, safe, and secure. The hostel also serves home-like delicious and nutritious food to the students. Sports: The institute has sports and game facilities that assist the students in maintaining their health and fitness.
