About Campus life
The campus of Vel Tech is multilingual and is spread over an area of 100 acres of land. The university has a built-up area of 22 lakh sq meters. Facilities provided by the university are:
Hostel Facilities: At hostels, the students are provided with a pleasant ambiance that feels just like another home. There are separate hostels for both genders at the university with all other facilities like 24*7 electricity supply, recreation hall, Wi-Fi, tuck shops, gym, and many more such facilities. The students are provided with laundry services, ATM, CCTV, bakery, etc.
Mess: There is a separate mess for hostel students at Vel Tech University which is managed by qualified chefs. And a variety of food is prepared by keeping the choices of students in mind who come from different places. All the hygienic practices are kept in mind by the people working to prepare meals for the students.
Sports Facilities: The best advantage in sporting events is a combination of intellectual and physical abilities. Every person leads a stressful life; however, students are especially benefited from sports because it is good for their body, mind, and soul. They get improved self-control and organizational abilities that are beneficial at work. Sports participation boosts confidence and aids its growth. Consistent participation in sports promotes physical activity and good health. Thus the university organizes different sports activities all through the year to keep the students occupied in activities. Sports facilities for sports like kabaddi, chess, volleyball, throw ball, cricket, football, handball, basketball, and many other games.
Library: The University has a central library that serves with books from different faculties like Computer Science, Electrical & Electronics, Mechanical, Basic Science, Information Technology, and management studies. The library provides with the student requirements for research and experiential learning, hence delivering extensive services and tools. The library consists of uncountable books, journals, e-database, e-journals, and many more such materials that are useful for the academic development of the students.
Medical Facilities: The Health Centre is conveniently placed on the campus of the university for all the students. A competent Healthcare Supervisor and certified physician specialist visit the university from time to time. A student who becomes ill is sent via ambulance right away to a hospital close by. They have quite enough beds for caring for ill students, and the medical room has an attached restroom. The needy students also have access to all types of general medications. The students are not charged for consultation and medications.
Auditoriums: There are multiple auditoriums that can accommodate around 5000, 1000, 500, as well as 200 people at a time. They have different accommodating capacities and the user can select one out of these according to the needs of the event.
