Manonmaniam Sundaranar University was established in 1990 by the Government of Tamil Nadu. It was formerly known as MS University, Tirunelveli. The University was established with an objective to ‘Reach the Unreachable’ and thus, provide quality education at nominal costs to all the students. It emphasises on graduating individuals with intellectual curiosity and expertise so that they make a difference in the society and cater to the challenges of the contemporary world. MSU is a State University which is accredited by NAAC and approved by UGC.
